Subject: Renal Purinergic Club
Renal Purinergic Club (RPC) was created by BK Kishore, M.D. (University of Utah Health), and Volker Vallon, M.D. (Univ. of California San Diego). The goal and purpose of the RPC is to foster effective and useful communications and discussions among the researchers interested in advancing the application of purinergic signaling in relation to renal cell, epithelial and vascular biology, physiology, pathophysiology and experimental therapeutics. The club has a global outreach and membership. Although the goal and purpose of the of the Renal Purinergic Club are thematically centered around the kidney, however, the actual scope of this Club is much wider to encompass developments in the field of basic purinergic signaling, such as receptor pharmacology, downstream effector signaling, modulation of purinergic signaling by a variety of agents etc. Since its inception, the RPC has conducted four one-day Ancillary Meeting on purinergic signaling in the kidney in conjunction with the major national meetings (Kidney Week or Experimental Biology meetings). Currently 100 members subscribed to Renal Purinergic Club listserv (see below for the link). To join the listserv, please send an email to BK.Kishore@hsc.utah.edu with details, such as your full name and affiliation.
